LavinMQ Code Summit 2026: bigger, better and bolder
Wow. We’re still a little speechless! On October 15, we hosted the second edition of LavinMQ Code Summit in Skellefteå, and what a day!
After our first event in this format in 2025, we knew immediately that we wanted to do it again. But this time, a bit bigger, better, and bolder. And yes, we reached our goal!
Three times as many participants
We brought together developers, creative minds, companies, and tech enthusiasts for a full day of problem-solving. And once again, we were reminded that a hackathon is about so much more than code. It’s about people coming together, learning from each other, and turning ideas into something real.
“There’s so much talent and creativity out there, and it’s amazing to see what happens when you bring people together and give them a challenge to solve,” says Julia Lindberg, Event Lead at 84codes.
Turning challenges into ideas
This year, participants could choose from three challenges, each offering a different perspective on technology and innovation.
Throughout the day, teams experimented with new tools, learned as they went, and developed their ideas into new concepts and solutions.
The final presentations and demos were a highlight, showcasing not only technical skills but also creativity, teamwork, and some seriously impressive problem-solving.
Some participants explored message queuing for the first time, while others brought plenty of experience to the table. Seeing people with different backgrounds learn from each other and work towards a common goal is one of the things we love most about this event.
It was inspiring to see what people could build in just one day!

An event like this wouldn’t be possible without people who are willing to get involved, share their expertise, and help make things happen.
Special thanks to Skellefteå Science City and Ductus for taking ownership of this year’s challenges. Thank you also to AWS for sharing valuable insights into Kiro and helping participants explore new possibilities with AI.
