LavinMQ version 2.5.0 brings faster startup and new features
LavinMQ version 2.5.0 is now released. This version is faster and brighter than ever before. With LavinMQ 2.5.0 users can now choose between light and dark modes. Which mode will you choose? We’ve made LavinMQ start up quicker by storing message counts in a file along with message segments.
Highlights from version 2.5.0
- lavinmqperf now supports MQTT - expanded performance testing with MQTT. PR #983
- Faster follower synchronization time.
- API now exposes message counts. PR #1121
- Follower synchronization progress is now logged. commit #75474221
- Consumer fairness has been improved, and performance for AMQP. commit #7a1455d
Users will experience faster initial replication for follower nodes. A complete list of features and enhancements for version 2.5.1 can be found in the release notes on GitHub.
LavinMQ UI Enhancements
LavinMQ 2.5.0 allows users to choose their preference for light or dark mode. Password generation has been added in the user form. Check out the UI section of the release notes for more details.

The sidebar has also been updated with icons and grouping for a better user experience. Enhancements have also been made to the log view built into LavinMQ. Users can now sort and download logs from the UI.
lavinmqperf
Originating from a feature request, the team has updated lavinmqperf to support MQTT. Allowing users to test with the protocol of their choosing. To use MQTT users will need to supply specific parameters. Read more in the lavinmqperf documentation.
Pause and resume shovels
Receiving an influx of messages from one of your shovels? You can now pause a shovel with version 2.5.0. LavinMQ has had pause and resume available for queues from its initial launch and now brings that functionality to shovels.
